Like many drawn to this industry, she was motivated by travel, experience and the opportunity to build a life far beyond the ordinary.
Over the years, India has worked onboard a variety of superyachts across different programmes and regions, gaining first-hand insight into the realities of life at sea. From the fast pace of charter seasons to the precision required on private worldwide programmes, each vessel, each operation and each crew dynamic has shaped her understanding of what exceptional and successful crew look like.
Those experiences did more than build a career — they shaped perspective, understanding and character. Working in the centre of this industry has given a genuine appreciation for the professionalism, teamwork and resilience that sit behind the scenes of every boat.
Today, India carries that experience into the next chapter of her career through Crew & Co. Drawing on both her time onboard and her previous recruitment experience, she brings a practical understanding of the industry to every placement — focusing on connecting the right people with the right boats.

Firsthand Experience
Having lived the centre this industry myself, I understand that yachting is far more than what is seen on TV or social media. I know the highs that make it unforgettable - discovering new places, receiving your first tip, earning that promotion, and building friendships that last a lifetime. But I also understand the quieter realities that come with it: the uncertainty between jobs, the anxiety of wondering whether you have joined the right programme, the sacrifices made in personal relationships, and the impact an unsupportive environment can have onboard.
It is this lived perspective that shapes how I recruit today - with empathy, honesty, and a genuine understanding of what truly matters to crew.
A Life Shaped by Yachting
I come from a small rural village, where life was grounded, honest, and simple - but opportunities often felt limited. From a young age, I carried the ambition to build a life beyond the farm I grew up on, and to see what more the world might hold.
Yachting became the path that made that possible. It gave me perspective, confidence, independence, and access to places, people, and experiences I once could only imagine. It challenged me, shaped my standards, and showed me what can happen when ambition is matched with opportunity. That journey continues to influence the way I work today - with gratitude, drive, and a genuine belief in helping others create lives they once dreamed of too.

Every successful placement follows a considered process, from understanding the brief to seamless integration onboard.

Build an Understanding
Every placement begins with a detailed understanding of the vessel, the programme and the expectations of the Captain and owners. We take time to learn how the yacht operates day-to-day so that candidates are considered not only for their qualifications, but for their ability to integrate seamlessly into the onboard environment.

Strategically Match Candidates
Using industry insight and an established network of crew, we identify candidates whose experience, attitude and career direction align with the needs of the vessel. Our approach prioritises thoughtful matchmaking to ensure both yacht and crew benefit from the placement.

As part of our verification process, I carry out thorough checks including documentation review, direct references with Captains and Heads of Department, and structured screening to assess suitability. Drawing on industry knowledge and firsthand experience, I look beyond the CV to evaluate true fit, providing clear insight into a candidate’s performance, professionalism, character, and conduct onboard.
